Hi, I’m Joanne and this is my story about how Virgin Care Private helped me beat my hyperhidrosis.
After years of suffering from hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), I decided to take action. I received advice from a friend who had previously dealt with this problem and managed to get treatment to successfully beat her hyperhidrosis by getting Botox injections.
She had mentioned how it was a simple procedure and told me to get in touch with Jess Lonsdale, Managing Director at the Virgin Care Private clinic in Birmingham.
I met with Jess and we very quickly built up a great relationship. She is very passionate and caring and helped me instantly feel at ease. She put me in touch with Dr Vikram who had a brilliant reputation for treatments such as these and I booked an appointment.
Booking and treatment
Booking was quick, easy and efficient. I simply registered online, the whole process was simple and I felt secure using their website.
I was offered a range of dates and times and picked the one that would best fit with my schedule.
On the first day of treatment, I was taken to a beautiful seating area and was instantly made to feel relaxed. I had a lovely cup of coffee and waited for a few minutes, shortly after, Dr Vikram came to collect me himself.
He then talked me through the whole process. We completed the necessary pre-treatment questionnaire, chatted about the outcomes and then began treatment.
I had read online there may be minor side effects to the Botox treatment, such as some redness or swelling, but to my amazement, I didn’t experience any. I had no swelling, no bruising and no soreness or tenderness, nothing at all. I guess it’s a combination of my body’s reaction to the treatment and Vikram’s skill and experience.
I left feeling confident and elated. I can now wear whatever clothing I want, all the colours of the rainbow, I guess I would pretty much recommend this to anyone, the freedom I currently feel is amazing.
What would you say to someone who might be losing confidence for a similar reason to you?
What I would say to anyone putting this such as simple procedure off is just go and get it done, life’s too short to put things off. I can honestly say it has changed my life and given me my confidence back.
It’s a life-changing treatment, so quick and easy, afterwards, you can continue with your day as if nothing’s happened!
What was your experience of Virgin Care Private overall?
I found the service absolutely first class. The premises are carefully designed to ensure complete relaxation and the level of customer service is above anything I could have expected.
At first, I had reservations both about the procedure and the clinic, but I can honestly say there isn’t a reason I can think of why I wouldn’t recommend the clinic and its services to anyone. It’s a no-brainer.
