CBT for anxiety, depression and more

Talking therapies, like CBT, work on breaking down the big problems into situational triggers, and how these triggers can then bring about negative thoughts, emotions, physical feelings and actions. CBT helps to change thoughts of depression, anxiety, panic, obsessive compulsion and more, into positive, proactive responses.

Learning to think positively moving forwards  

You’ll learn to recognise triggers for negative thoughts and feelings during your cognitive behavioural therapy sessions, and your therapist will help you discover ways to turn a negative reaction to a situation, into a positive one. You’ll then be able to use these tactics in your everyday life once your therapy sessions have finished.

Reducing distress following a traumatic life event

EMDR can help if your difficulties began following a traumatic life event. Your therapist will help you to reduce the distress attached to the memory of that event and then alleviate the emotional and behavioural symptoms you may have had since.
