A lot of people struggle with weight loss, whether it’s keeping to a strict diet or ensuring we get the recommended levels of daily exercise, there are few that would argue against it being a daily battle.
If you find you struggle with weight loss it could be worth booking in for a health check-up and finding out what the cause is, we’ll assess your current health and fitness levels to make sure you’re living well and staying well.
Your weight loss check-up will take between 45 and 60 minutes and during your health check-up, we’ll take a look at your current health and fitness. Blood pressure measurements and BMI checks help us draw up a personal action plan to keep you fit and healthy. We’ll also find out more about your family medical history to help assess why you can’t lose weight.

From booking your why can’t I lose weight health check-up to your bespoke check-up and consultation, we’ll look after you throughout the process:
1. To book in just call us on 0300 247 0121. You pay for your health assessment after you’ve checked out
2. Once you’ve booked in, we’ll then text you a reminder of the time and date you should arrive and who you’ll be seeing
3. We’ll ask you to arrive a little early and you’ll be looked after by one of our hand-picked doctors, or one of our team
4. You can arrange a follow-up consultation with us at check out, we’ll be more than happy to discuss your progress.
We hold ourselves to the very highest standards of confidentiality. Everything we talk about will be confidential.

We don’t take a payment upfront for our GP services. We always request that you tell us as soon as possible if you can’t attend an appointment. We do take a payment upfront for our consultant appointments and that can be done at the time of booking. We’ll be more than happy to cancel or re-schedule any consultant appointments for free up to 24 hours before your appointment. If your appointment is less than 24 hours away, our policy is that we ask for 50% of your total booking fee as a late cancellation fee. If you feel you may be late for your appointment, please contact us on 0300 247 0121 and we will do what we can to help you.
If, for whatever reason, you miss your consultant appointment and haven’t informed us at least 24 hours in advance, unfortunately we will need to charge you £180 towards the appointment as a late cancellation fee.
Your doctor may feel that further tests, for example blood tests, are needed in order to confirm any diagnosis. Please bear in mind that you will need need to pay for these additional tests yourself, but whether you decide to go ahead with these is up to you. You should always feel your doctor has given you enough information to help you make an informed decision about any of the options for additional services they might go through with you.
Yes! One of the benefits of seeing a private doctor is to provide you with a choice of specialists, if you need more specialised care. Your GP will suggest one or more of our carefully selected specialist consultants who are experts in their field; you or your GP will then choose who would be best to see.
We highly recommend a consultation with our GP before taking any other action, unless you have already been referred to a specialist by another doctor. This gives us the best understanding of your circumstances, from which we can make the best recommendation for your next steps in getting well and living well.
