Blood pressure monitoring

This is a simple way of checking if your blood pressure is too low or too high. High blood pressure, known as hypertension, can put a strain on your arteries and organs, this can increase your chances of developing serious problems such as a stroke or a heart attack. Low blood pressure, known as hypotension may cause dizziness and fainting. Having a blood pressure test is the only way to find out if your blood pressure is too high or too low, having a test is easy and could save your life.

Peace of Mind Cardiovascular Risk

This test is an easy and convenient way to check your general health and to help assess your risk of a heart attack or stroke. It will provide you with an insight into how your lifestyle is affecting your liver, kidneys, risk of diabetes, heart disease and stroke. It also checks the thyroid gland function, which regulates our metabolism and can affect our mood, weight, appetite, sleep and bowel habit.

There are two specific markers in this profile that, if raised, suggest a higher chance of heart attack or stroke.

Key tests include red and white blood cell count, liver health, kidney health, diabetes screen, cholesterol, thyroid function, an important inflammatory marker (ESR), PLAC test and hsCRP.

Peace of Mind Male > 45 years

This test is an easy and convenient way to check your general health as a man.

It will provide you with an insight into how your lifestyle is affecting your liver, kidneys, risk of diabetes and heart disease. It also checks the thyroid gland function, which regulates our metabolism and can affect our mood, weight, appetite, sleep and bowel habit.

A specific test in this profile is a marker known as PSA. A high level of this marker could be a sign of prostate cancer, although a raised level can also be caused by less serious things such as prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH - enlargement of the prostate).

Key tests include red and white blood cell count, liver health, kidney health, diabetes screen, cholesterol, thyroid function, an important inflammatory marker (ESR) and PSA.

Male Menopause

This test is an easy and convenient way to check your general health and assess your male hormones, especially if you are experiencing any symptoms such as reduced sex drive, lower energy levels or change in mood and concentration. It will provide you with an insight into how your lifestyle is affecting your liver, kidneys, risk of diabetes and heart disease. It also checks the thyroid gland function, which regulates our metabolism and can affect our mood, weight, appetite, sleep and bowel habit.

There are various male hormones in this profile that can impact general well-being.  Abnormal levels of these hormones may merit further investigation with a specialist in men’s health. Key tests include red and white blood cell count, liver health, kidney health, diabetes screen, cholesterol, thyroid function, an important inflammatory marker (ESR), testosterone levels, prolactin, PSA and FAI.

Quantiferon TB Gold Blood test

TB is a bacterial infection which affects the lungs and can also have an effect on the nervous system. This test establishes if someone has had exposure to tuberculosis (TB) bacteria. It is particularly important for healthcare workers who are at an increased risk of exposure to TB through their patients.

Baseline screen

This test is an easy and convenient way to check your general health. It will provide you with an insight into how your lifestyle is affecting your liver, kidneys, risk of diabetes and heart disease. It also checks the thyroid gland function, which regulates our metabolism and can affect our mood, weight, appetite, sleep and bowel habit. Key tests include red and white blood cell count, liver health, kidney health, diabetes screen, cholesterol, thyroid function and an important inflammatory marker (ESR).

There are a number of reasons for having this test, it could be that you’re looking for peace of mind before an employment pre-screening test, to comply with a drug rehabilitation programme, or if you believe you have taken a drug accidentally or without consent. Often you may be required to take a test for legal reasons or if you take part in sport at a professional level.

Peace of Mind Lung Screen

This test is an easy and convenient way to check your general health and to help assess your risk of lung cancer. It will provide you with an insight into how your lifestyle is affecting your liver, kidneys, the risk of diabetes and heart disease. It also checks the thyroid gland function, which regulates our metabolism and can affect our mood, weight, appetite, sleep and bowel habit. There are two specific markers in this profile that can be raised even in the early stages of lung cancer and may merit further investigation.
